Altitude Profile (36 ft to 686 ft)
This route is based on a ride I did from my house in Bristol to my folks place in Barton on Sea via Stonehenge, however I've modified it slightly to start from the city centre as opposed to my house and finish at the sea rather than at my parents. The route takes in a combination of cycle paths, canal paths, byways, the odd bridal way and a bit of road at the end. There is definately potential to add in more off road on the byways between Devises and Sailsbury plain and also between Upper Woodford and Winterborn Gunner. The New Forest is full of little trails which are all right to roam so there's loads of scope for going off road and also getting totally lost so I thought it best to stick to the roads to get me through the forest.
The original plan was to stay at the YHA in Cholderton by it was fully booked so I changed the route slightly to stay at Woodgate Farm House B&B which was fantastic and bike friendly.
There are some great little pubs and cafes on route, I could say where they are but I figure it'll be more fun to let you find them for yourself.
