Altitude Profile (3 ft to 938 ft)
This is based very very loosely around the Pembrokeshire Coast path. Since we can't ride on footpaths, the idea was a MTB route drawing some inspiration from the coastal path. As always with me the emphasis is to get off-road otherwise I'd have just followed the coastal road.
This is purely theorhetical, I haven't done it yet. The route is compact enough to forma a loop so park up somewhere in Dinas Cross and head West towards Fishguard. There's a question mark over the descent from Mynydd Melyn/Parc-Mawr. I'm thinking the route I've plotted shows lots tarmac and a couple of short bridleways. For the sake of a slight diversion (may even be a shorter route!) it may be worth coming down off Parc Mawr on the totally excellent downhill used on my Newport Bay section. I may also have to rethink the Dinas Head section as I read that the National Parks are saying the whole of the footpath portion of the coastal path is out of bounds. I'll toy with this one. ?% off-road.
