Description

We almost took the ideal way from Inman Square to Salem.

We traveled through Davis Square, up through Medford Center, the Fells via South Border Road, up Washington Street, and then across on Salem. If we had done things right, we should have cut north on Forest street and skipped the Northward cut on Main Street in Stoneman to North Avenue (the road is ugly). Toward the end, we also made a wrong turn into Peabody briefly.

Avoid those two mistakes and this is basically the perfect right from Cambridge or Somerville into Salem. It's low traffic, scenic, slightly hilly for a decent work out, and takes you right to the ferry from Salem back into Boston. The ride is highly recommended.
