Altitude Profile (37 ft to 675 ft)
From Hersel via Meckenheim and Rheinbach to Euskirchen and then on byroads to Weilerswist and from there via Metternich and Rösberg to Brühl. Then onto Hürth and via Rodenkirchen and Godorf back to Hersel.
Admittedly, the part of the track beyond Brühl leads through a bit of an industrial area [especially in Godorf] and definitely isn't as lovely as the route between Bonn-Röttgen and Weilerswist, but it still isn't bad at all as some of it leads along/through nice woods. And from Rodenkirchen on the Rhine isn't too far away. One could even choose the bike path along the Rhine there.
The route, btw, is a tad longer than 100 kilometres but it could be shortened to that by taking the Sürther Straße instead of the Weißer Hauptstraße in Rodenkirchen.
