Well you have to work hard up the road to the col de Allos but its not that bad. I did this as a loop and starting at la foux split the road climb nicely. from the col its still a bit of climbing on rough narrow single track which is exposed in places. Once the descent starts its nothing but smiles for about 45 minutes all the way down to Allos. Great mixture of open hillside, flowy woodland and the odd technical rocky section thrown in. Superb.
