Altitude Profile (102 ft to 285 ft)
Mainly off road, and using a good bit of National Cycle Route 6 this is a great day out. You'll retrace your tracks a little, but in such lovely countryisde, that's no great problem.
We did this in 4 inches of snow and it was a killer but in decent weather this is a pleasant, varied ride for experienced MTBers. there's some climbing, a couple of great downhills and some fast tracks too. In fact, something for everyone.
In high summer, the park sections are busy, so take a day off work take make the most of this route.
There's a great cafe at the start/finish with loads of car parking (free in the winter, a couple of quid the rest of the time)
You can also link this ride up with NCR 6 and head off down to Sherwood Pines where there's loads more MTB fun to be had.
