A destination we cannot ignore is Gradara Castle, made famous by Dante in the Divine Comedy as the home of the two unfortunate lovers, Paolo and Francesca.
We will get there by following small, secondary roads surrounded by the colours and fragrances of our beautiful countryside, passing through the delightful renovated village of San Giovanni in Marignano, known as the “Granary of the Malatesta”, to reach the castle.
Then we will set off again for the hotel, following a route that will reveal fantastic places on cliff tops that drop sheer to the sea in a wonderful backdrop, before delving into the colourful Riviera with its multicoloured and cheerfully rowdy beach establishments
