Track simplification

This is one of our prettiest runs. It kicks off in Denshaw in Oldham and loops through the Yorkshire Dales and ends back at Dobcross. There should be something for everyone here. Tight fast twisties, Open twisties, fantastic countryside views, pretty villages, long fast straights, good grub and also slower sections on single track lanes.

Approx 158 miles of everything that is good about motorbikes. I would recommend using a full day to cover this as there is so much to see and the twisties will drain your brain if you simply ride like an idiot through this and miss the views. DEfinitely take a gopro attached to your bike. Your mates and even your mum will be impressed with this run!

I would recommend doing the first 50 miles to Long Preston then stop for Lunch before continuing to Settle (bike biker spot) then comes the really pretty part with the twisties goint onto Hawes ( a bit touristy but plenty to see and places to drink and eat). The road to Hawes has breathtaking views all the way and a fantastic road like nothing else I have seen. Then working down to Bainbridge which if you time it right you will see the Gipsy horse market (worth a stop if its on) before heading to Kettlewell along a bunch of single lane B roads with some intersting down hills sections and lots of photo oportunity stops, for a well deserved break at the tea rooms (parking opposite). This will set you up for the last 67 miles back to Denshaw with more stunning vistas all the way. The route to Hebden bridge was part of the Tour de France and you will still see some of the markings on the roads as you leave Oxenhope. You will cut through hebden bridge on the way out and in, this is very touristy and parking is expensive. Worth a stop if you havent done before then carry on. Once you get to Hollingworth lake its always worth a stop for an ice cream if the weather is good or a stop at the local biker pub on the lakeside called the Wine Press.

I would allow a good 7 hours for this ride personally and ideally more if you do lots of stops (strongly recommended). I will upload a video of most of this run to youtube in due course. Keep an eye on my website for when this happens.
