Altitude Profile (147 ft to 1,267 ft)
The route starts and finishes at the Top Lock pub Copthurst Ln, Whittle-le-Woods (fine ales and good food all day) and proceeds along the canal past Botany Bay. The first half of the route is (for me) a pretty strenuous climb ending at the top of Rivington Pike. After that there are some fast rocky descents including the downhill part of the Healy Nab singletrack (red or black). Eventually there is a well deserved return to the Top Lock. Many thanks to my son Jeff for dragging me round this.
