Description
Very indirect trip from Worcester to Davis Square. I arrived into Boston so indirectly because I stopped at (a) a BBQ in JP on Mission Hill and (b) Shakespeare in the Park on Boston Common. I could have done this trip much more directly (and am somewhat wondering why I did not!).
The parts of the trip between Fiske Street in/near Hollister and Needham are perhaps the best cycling I've done in the greater Boston area. Route 122 and 140 out of Worcester was OK. Route 16, which is why I took such a roundabout way, since it came recommended, was pretty but had far too many cars. I will avoid Route 16 in the future and try take more of the backrounds like Fiske. They were wooded, beautiful, cool on a hot day, and had almost no cars. I saw almost as many other cyclists as I did cars.
