Just over four mile single track family trail, starting and finishing close to the visitor centre. There is nothing technical in this ride that the youngest member of your family should not be able to ride. For those with more ability the track is well designed to make it a challenging ride when tried at speed. Don't try riding at speed during any busy periods.

Riding from Haskin Garden centre at Longham (Bicycle World are next door to Haskins and open 7 days a week), head toward the Wimborne, when you reach the bye pass roundabout take the Colehill exit (3rd exit) and then into Canon Hill Plantation. Many parts of this route get muddy during wet weather so care need to be taken. The climb itself up to Horton Tower is not steep but is heavily diveted from horse hoofs and make it a difficult ride.

Start and Finish in the car Park at Brecon Close Northbourne, ride along the River Stour, then cross the river at the weirs at Throop mill, then out across the fields into Ramsdown Forest and then Sopley Common. Leaving Sopley common opposite the rear entrance to the Industrial area at Hurn Airport, take the road for about quarter of a mile then enter Hurn forest, Zig zag your way across the forest and then head toward Oakdeane Caravan park.Take the foot path toward the Moor River over the bridge and onto Parley Common and onto Parley Lane towards Hurn Airport, turn right opposite the entrance towards Merritown, take the path at the end of the road into the fields which will lead you back to the Weir at Throop Mill and follow the route in reverse that you took on the way out.

NOTE: 1) The path along the River Stour and from Oakdeane Caravan park and over the Moor River areliable to flooding during periods of heavy rain.

2)  After crossing the second weir over the river, you turn right along the river path, you go through a gate into a small field then across the filed to a gate onto a lane. If this lane is flooded stay as close as you can to the left hand side of the lane (as you look up the lane) the level is quite low on this side. Once you get to the slight right kink after 100 yds you will be OK

An 18 mile Loop from Lyndhurst out to Beauleiu Heath and then back to Lyndhurst, a mix of gravel fireroads, narrow tracks, grass plains and soft sand. Apart from crossing roads there is only one section of road riding which was less than 100mtr. 95% of the ride is flat with just a few minor rises.

NOTE: I rode this route in July, many section of the ride were dried out mud beds and dried out areas of muddy cattle hoof divetts. I don't suggest you try riding this route in the winter months
