Where are the Google Maps?

Since 2012 Google Maps are not longer free.

GPSies.com would have to pay US $1,000 per day(!) to offer the service as usual. Calculation: 25,000 map views per day are free of charge, 1,000 more cost each $10 US. GPSies.com has about 100,000 to 150,000 map views per day. Unfortunately, we cannot pay for it because GPSies is free of charge. More informationen at Google

Tips for the new maps

• Zoom into details: press Shift, hold down and drag the section with the mouse
• Google Maps at a backdoor: click on the track details view on More..., than on Google Maps. The track is now displayed in a new window in Google maps
• Change the maps: click on the "rectangle" button on the map
